Workshop “Block Magic: smart technologies to support some traditional psycho-pedagogical practices”, Trento, 18/06/2013

The city of Trento hosted the Block Magic workshop on tangible and smart technologies on the 18th of June, 2013. The workshop started with introduction of the Block Magic system and its development throughout the project, presentation made by Orazio Miglino (CNR). Further, Raffaele Di Fuccio – the project coordinator – gave the overview of the project. Anna Trifonova (UB) discussed the methodological approach behind Block Magic.

The summative evaluation in Spain, Greece and Italy was presented by Anna Trifonova (UB), Dimitra Dimitrakopoulou (EA) and the Mario Coppa (LDFO) respectively.

The workshop was enriched by the presentation of Stefania Campestrini from Ericsson who spoke about the Cognitive variables in the Digital Age.

On June 18th afternoon and on the 19th, the consortium continues with a closed-doors project meeting. All partners except the UNIDR were present to the meeting. An update was done on the main activities since the last meeting in Barcelona and the plans for the next 6 months were discussed.

The Block Magic project is running towards its end and its outcomes are emerging, such as the final Block Magic prototype (hardware and software), the results of the classroom implementations, the forthcoming summer school in Crete and the final conference in Rome.
